The electromagnetic railgun developed by BAE Systems for the U.S. Navy has a lot going for it. It is smaller than a conventional cannon. It can fire a projectile up to 4,600 mph, or around Mach 6. It uses no gunpowder or chemical propellants, eliminating the need to carry dangerous explosives on a warship. The weapon has the potential to hit a target over 100 nautical miles away. |

You cant name a gun control proposal the California Socialists havent passed. Of course, these laws only disarm the honest people and have no effect on violent crime. Bigoted gun laws disarm the innocent victims, not the thugs. That is a fact everywhere. Meanwhile, the Socialist politicians in California continue to blame the victim.
Learn from others mistakes.. and never go full California. |

Monday night, The Kern High School District board will consider possible changes to its rules on bringing guns to schools. Members will look at policies for people holding concealed weapon permits, or CCWs. However, the board was not to take up any changes yet that could affect teachers or staff. It's not clear when that could happen. "At this point tonight, all they're going to be considering is their nonschool employees," district spokeswoman Lisa Krch told Eyewitness News Monday afternoon.

Cody Wilson doesnt look dangerous. Theres a slight gap between his two front teeth, a bit of an underbite. Around his middle, the beginnings of a paunch, visible through his fitted grey denim. Clutching an iPhone in one hand, a cup of strong black coffee in the other, hes not exactly menacing until he looks at you. His eyes are searching, hard, darting around the West Hollywood cafe. Brown eyes that seem a touch nervous, and tired. Wilson has been labeled one of the most dangerous people in the world twice. He quotes philosophers like Nietzsche and Foucault and calls himself a crypto-anarchist, a digital radical. Hes hung with Julian Assange, appeared on Showtime, Vice and documentaries like Deep Web. He likes to be the bad guy.

A muslim graduate student killed his teacher at the University of California, Los Angeles. The graduate student broke dozens of ineffective laws. California Socialist politicians then called for more ineffective laws that burden honest California gun owners. That is ugly bigotry.
The blame rests with the voters who elected these bigoted politicians. Speaking to the Socialists voters in California, YOU created this monster. The blood of disarmed victims is on your hands. |

They're simple, plastic toys, but they could be very dangerous, or even deadly, in the wrong situation or setting. That's what an activist and families in Newark are saying about toy guns that are designed to look realistic. Some residents of Newark, a city that's no stranger to violent crime, told PIX11 News that their streets are the sorts of places where toy guns, particularly ones that can be altered to look even more real, have no place.

A shipment of Kalashnikov rifles, popularly known as AK-47s, was destined for the United States when it was stopped and quickly rerouted to Venezuela. Washington had just slapped Moscow with sanctions over the Ukraine crisis, and the Russian gun maker Kalashnikov Kontsern suddenly found one of its biggest markets off limits. Without access to the ready buyers among American weapons enthusiasts, Kalashnikov had to change its strategy, an increasingly common challenge for Russian companies after the imposition of sanctions.

If ever there were a year to reform gun laws in South Carolina, this was it. Too bad it didnt happen. It was less than a year ago that nine people were shot to death as they studied the Bible at Emanuel AME Church. The gun allegedly used in those murders was purchased only because of a clerical mistake in processing the background check of the man charged in that crime.

Loudoun County Chairwoman Phyllis Randall (D-At Large) today altered a controversial anti-gun violence proposal by eliminating Democratic-leaning gun control groups from the resolution. Randall's move came one day after the Loudoun County Republican Committee condemned the proposed resolution that would recognize June 2 as National Gun Violence Awareness Day. But Randall said she began adjusting the resolution over the weekend, before she was aware of the LCRC's outspoken opposition.
