Today, the New Hampshire House Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee voted to pass House Bill 334. Thanks to your strong support, this bill will advance this session.

House Bill 334: ATV Carry Allows the carry of a loaded firearm on an Off-Highway Recreation Vehicle (OHRV) or Snowmobile. HB 334 also helps to clean up the law from when Permitless Carry was passed and a snowmobile prohibition remained. If you can carry a gun in your vehicle, or on your person, you shouldn't have to surrender your right to self-defense simply because you're operating a snowmobile.

When you hear people talk about the ideal concealed carry caliber for self defense ammo, you will get a lot of varied opinions.

Somebody will say something about stopping power. Some people will use the guns typically use by police departments as a guide. Others will tell you that it doesn't matter as long as you use hollow points instead of FMJs.

Guns.com: Let's talk about 2021. Why is 2021 the most critical year for gun owners, possibly ever, to kind of band together here and fight some of this anti-gun legislation that we've been seeing?

Gottlieb: Unfortunately, 2021 has become the ultimate storm, the perfect storm against gun rights with the Biden administration in the White House. He's had a long history of being anti-Second Amendment, and the House and Senate in control of Democrats who have already come out, basically, with a lot of anti-gun legislation. As well as, we've got the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee talking about, it's a high priority for him to get anti-gun bills through the committee in the Senate so it gets to the Senate floor.

J.R. Hoell and Dan Itse, two former state representatives involved in firearm rights advocacy, pointed to two pieces of the proposed amendment they say are contradictory.

In the first sentence, the amendment prevents the Legislature from enacting laws that would create a greater burden than that in federal law, the representatives noted which made the federal law the standard. Yet in the second sentence, the amendment would make those federal laws unenforceable by New Hampshire law enforcement.

Itse and Hoell said they were working on a rewrite to the amendment that could address those concerns while still making the Granite State a Second Amendment sanctuary state.

Should Indiana get rid of the license to carry a gun in public?

Supporters of a bill that would remove the permit process said permits punish the law abiding citizen, but those opposed claim the screening process keeps Hoosiers safe.

Anything that can make things easier for somebody who is a law abiding citizen is always something that I think Im going to try to support, said Indianapolis gun owner Eric Housman.

Like many who support getting rid of permits to carry a gun, he doesnt think he should have to go through a screening process to practice his second amendment right.

None of Christiansburg Councilman Steve Hupperts colleagues on Tuesday voiced interest in pursuing an ordinance that would ban the carrying of guns in town buildings.

Huppert recently suggested that the town consider gun control measures similar to what Blacksburg adopted last month.

Starting March 1, Blacksburg will ban the carrying of firearms in town buildings, parks and streets when they are used for permitted events. The ordinance is allowed by a local option measure that was passed by the General Assembly last year and went into effect in July.

This weekend, I plan to work up my nerve, swallow down my fear, throw caution to the wind and walk right into one of those daunting places where danger lurks around every corner, where catastrophe could strike at any moment.

Yep, I'm going to the library.

Every day all over Arizona, people take their lives into their own hands as they go in search of their next great read. Thats because in Arizona, you cant legally take your AR-15, your Glock 19 or even your trusty Saturday night special into the public library.

Fortunately, the Arizona Legislature is on it.
